Many Pastors and Leaders are falling... Satan is working overtime to lure and trap these men of God, putting them into impossible positions where they feel they cannot escape. It's not hard to understand really. The enemy really wants these servants. I mean, who does the Pastor talk to when he's tempted, when he's the one lusting after the young new member... when he's the one fighting with his wife, stuck in the thought that divorce is the only thing left? Who does the Pastor's wife get with when she's in sin or her husband is? What happens when the assistant Pastor is the one addicted to porn? What happens if the congregation finds out?
So instead of confiding in someone, confessing, healing and reconciling the Pastor or leader holds it all in until something snaps. I know... I was this man. The Bible says nothing that is hidden will stay that way, it will come out. The question is how do you want it to come out? Everything has cause and effect. You can help a situation or make it worse. We tell our kids all the time, you have a choice, make it a good one.
Pastor! You Know this stuff! Choices are good or bad and are made moment to moment. Like the Pastor who recently left his wife and kids for that cute young new member, or the wife that just left her "good Christian husband". He was at church every Sunday, Wednesday and Tuesday morning for prayer, but for the umpteenth time she walked in on him playing pocket pool in front of the computer screen. How does she handle that? "My husband is a leader in the church... my husband is a leader in our church... my husband is a hypocrite, living a lie...what do I say to my friends?"
