Living up to my committment

Biblical repentance under the new covenant of grace is not turning from your sins to be saved. Many have tried to do this and it just resulted in failure and a state worse than they started with. Biblical repentance under the new covenant is about going from a state of unbelief in Jesus to a state of belief in Jesus, His grace & His gift. That belief in Jesus results in salvation and the forgiveness of sins. It's His kindness that leads to repentance. (Rom 9) Behavioral change comes as a natural desire to change (which is what repent means... 'to change') as the new believer falls in love with the living God & His son. The result of that agape relationship will bring the power of God into the life of the believer and change will happen... sometimes quickly, sometimes over time.
