Salvation is yours if you want it...

When you move from a state of unbelief to a state of belief your life changes.  That is what the word repentace means, "to change". Think about that.  What do you believe? When someone asks the Lord into their life they are saying the now believe in His work, His sacrifice for us, His gift.  If you're not sure about that, ask Him to show you the truth and He will.
When someone believes something will change inside... some people sense something right away.  For others it may take a little while but you'll notice changes in your circumstances and the way you feel and react to things. Then you'll know something is really happening... you are not what you were,  you are not the same.  The Bible says when this happens we are changed, transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kngdom of light.  You may not see it right away be you are a new person.  Once you really get what Jesus did for you gratitude will flow from your innermost being. I came to a place where I said,  "Whatever you want... I want.  I want to help You to let others know You.  I want them to feel this." It was and still is amazing.  Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand, and it is!  It's right next to you, eternal life begins now.  He really wants to have a close, personal, intimate relationship with you.  Will you let Him?
It starts with believing...

The Good News                              Blue Dove

Read what Jesus said to a Pharisee, a "teacher" in His time. If you get this... you'll really like it...

Jhn 3:1   Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews;
Jhn 3:2   this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God {as} a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
Jhn 3:3   Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Jhn 3:4   Nicodemus *said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"
Jhn 3:5   Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Jhn 3:6   "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Jhn 3:7   "Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Jhn 3:8   "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
Jhn 3:9   Nicodemus said to Him, "How can these things be?"
Jhn 3:10   Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel and do not understand these things?
Jhn 3:11   "Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony.
Jhn 3:12

"If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? "The Wind blows where it wishes, you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is EVERYONE who is born of the Spirit."

This is NOT religion as some may think.  This is a spiritual reality that Jesus taught.  When you believe, when you really 'get it', no one can ever take it away from you. And you will never be the same.  The words "Born Again" in the Greek can also be translated as "Regenerated from Above". In other words, God does it.  You need to seriously want it, ask for it and it WILL happen. Your whole reality takes on a different dimension. You may not sense anything right away but God will begin working in your life.

In the popular movie, 'The Matrix', Morpheus tells Leo that if he takes the red pill, the journey begins, take the blue pill and you can go back to living the lie.  Trinity told Leo, "The answer is out there, Neo, and it's looking for you, and it will find you if you want it to. Jesus is saying the same thing,  If you draw close to me, I will draw close to you.  He wants to be your closest friend. When you become "Regenerated from Above" you can see the spiritual realm. When this happens love takes on a whole new meaning. You know you are loved by God and you begin to love others differently, better.

It all comes down to "Truth".  Is what Jesus said the truth?  Jesus called Satan the father of lies and he has been that from the beginning.  He lied to Eve to get her to eat the apple.  He lies to humanity all the time to keep them from the truth.  Its not relative like some think, that's another lie.  You don't automatically get what you believe.  Jesus said,  "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." So Jesus is either a liar or insane.  I don't think either. The historical evidence is overwhelming. The simple truth is that there is a God who created you and loves you very much. Genesis 1:1  He gave us life and deserves our gratitude and love. We, however, have chosen to disobey Him and sin against Him; all of us have done wrong and failed to do what is right.  Romans 3:23 We may not be more sinful than our neighbor, or we may be far worse than anyone we know, it does not matter. Either way, we are guilty before God. 1John 1:8

God is perfect, completely good, always right and fair. He cannot tolerate sin. He cannot simply overlook the fact that we have chosen to disobey Him. The Bible says "the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23 This means that the fair payment for our rebellion against God is death. It is the punishment that we deserve. But He is so loving He doesn’t want us to remain in this state of sin and punishment. . In Romans 6:23 we read: "...the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

He has provided a way out for us. The Gospel means The Good News! That Good News is exactly that... we don’t have to remain in sin, we can choose to accept His gift. It’s free to those who simply ask.

Revelations 3:20 says: "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me."

John 1:12 says: "For as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God."

His invitation is clear. We must come to Him. All that remains is our response‚Ķ no one can or wants to force you. I/we are God's ambassadors, begging you to come back to God, be reconciled to Him.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20 says:

Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
True Christianity is not about attending a particular church, or how your parents raised you, or what country you were born in. Being a Christian means that you believe in what HE HAS DONE FOR YOU. You then begin your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, just like meeting someone new. You get to know them, love them and soon you'll see what millions of believers have seen. He really, truly loves you & me.
It's not good enough that your priest, pastor, mother, or aunt knows Jesus, you must know Him for yourself. They cannot believe in Him for you, you must believe for yourself.
Here is a cute little skit to show what I mean...
If you would like to receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life right now, pray a prayer something like this from the sincerity of your heart...

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I've messed up. Sometimes I did wrong on purpose.  But I believe you died for all that. Right now, I open the door of my heart and life. As Jesus told Nicodemus, the Wind blows where it wishes and so does the Spirit, I'm asking for you to please give me that Spirit, I want to be born again. Amen."

Jesus is everywhere all the time.  He hears you when you ask Him for forgiveness. If you prayed  He'll know and He will come to you.  Not only that, He has forgiven you of all your "stuff".  God  promises in Psalms 103:12  "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions (Wrong doings) from us"

Your decision to receive Christ also means that you are now going to Heaven one day. But its more than that, it means you have a relationship with the living God and His son Jesus. It's a day to day thing just like any good friend you have now only its with God. Don't try to be "good enough" to earn it. (See God's Love for You) a moral superstar cuz you won't, you'll fail and the devil will be right there in your head telling you you've failed again. Just be His friend, read His word and find a place, a church where people really love and trust the Lord.

Ephesians 2:8-10

New Living Translation (NLT)

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

That's a lot to be thankful for!  It's not that there are a bunch of “rules” to follow!  Please remember its about what HE has done FOR US...  We respond to that with faith & love.  If you meant what you’ve just prayed you probably have an urge inside to know more, to grow! That's great but take it one day at a time.  Remember what you just read in Ephesians 2:8-9.  Just start here:

  • Read the Bible. Get one that you can understand.  I like the New American Standard Bible or New Living Translation. Each time you open it, ask God to show you what it really means.
  • Pray. That just means talk to Him... Like a friend.  Get as close to Him as you are to breathing. Be honest with Him, He knows all your secrets anyway.
  • Go to a Bible teaching church. Don’t look for “the perfect church”, there’s no such thing. But find one that teaches what the Bible says, not their agenda. Remember we are not talking about religion here.  Its somewhere you go to be with others that have that Spirit. If you want help finding a church we'll do our best to locate a good one in your area.  Just contact us.
